《外国人眼中的中国是怎样的？》

自改革开放以来， 中国正在飞速的发展。

同时，越来越多的外国人也更加喜欢到中国来旅行、学习。

是呀，但让我们更好奇的是现在的中国在他们的眼中是怎样的？ 让我们一起去了解一下吧！

“ 单看长相，你一定猜不到我有中国血统！” 这是来自牙买加的女孩 Vicki

对很多中国朋友说得最多的话。

"You would never guess I have Chinese blood from my looks!"This is what Vicki, a girl from Jamaica, says most often to her Chinese friends.

其实， Vicki 的曾祖父是在上世纪 20 年代初从广州去到牙买加并在当地成家 的中国人。所以， Vicki 的身体里也的的确确流着  “炎黄子孙” 的血液。

In fact, Vicki's great-grandfather was a Chinese man who moved from Guangzhou  to  Jamaica  in  the  early 1920s and started a family there.Therefore, Vicki's body does indeed flow the blood of "Chinese descendants".

正是因为这一份割舍不掉的羁绊，从小时候起， Vicki 就一直向往着有一天 能来到中国，见一见自己“素未谋面的另一个故乡”。

It is because of this inseparable bond, since childhood, Vicki hasbeen longing for one day to come to China, to see her "never met another hometown."

终于， 这个愿望在 2015 年成为了现实。通过参与一个由中国和牙买加政府共 同赞助的游学项目， Vicki 如愿以偿地来到中国，并开始在这里生活和学习。

Finally, in 2015, this wish became a reality. Vicki was able to live and study in China through a study tour co-sponsored by the Chinese and Jamaican governments.

2015 年，Vicki 来到中国传媒大学攻读博士学位。毕业后， 她选择留校工作， 之后又在中国农业大学和美国科罗拉多大学（丹佛） 合作办学的项目中工作。除 了教授传播学课程， Vicki 还会为学生们提供学术咨询服务。

In 2015, Vicki moved to the Communication University of China to pursue her PhD. After graduation, she chose to stay and work in the university, and  then  worked in the project of cooperation between China Agricultural University and the University of Colorado In addition to teaching communication courses, Vicki also provides academic advisory services to students.

比如，当学生们无法决定是出国深造还是留在国内读研究生的时候，都会来 问问 Vicki 的建议， 希望这一位受益于跨国教育的 “前辈” 能给予他们一些人 生选择方面的建议。 Vicki 感觉这份工作仿佛让她变成了一座桥梁。

For example, when students can't decide whether to study abroad or stay in China for postgraduate studies, they will ask Vicki for advice, hoping that this "predecessor" who has benefited from transnational education can give them some advice on life choices. Vicki feels as if her job has turned her into a bridge.

她认为，这是一个良性循环：她自己得益于中牙政府资助项目才来到中国，

而现在也正做着同样的事情——帮助中国学生为出国留学做准备， 见证世界之大、 文明之多元。

She believes it's a virtuous circle: she herself came to China thanks to a government-funded program in China, and is now doing the same - helping Chinese students prepare for studying abroad and seeing how big and diverse the world is.

在中国学习、生活、工作的这些年， Vicki 亲眼见证了中国这几年的发展。 她发现， 当世界上的其他国家都忙于关注自己国内的问题时， 中国却在尽其所能 发展国际贸易， 推进“一带一路”倡议，并为共建人类命运共同体而不懈努力。

Over the years of studying, living and working in China, Vicki has witnessed the development of China.She found that while the rest of the world is busy focusing on its own domestic problems, China is doing all it can to develop international trade, promote the Belt and Road Initiative, and make unremitting efforts to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Vicki 说道：“我们现在面临极大的全球挑战，却并不知道如何去应对它们， 比如气候变化、战争、贫困、通货膨胀、生活成本上升等等。我们是时候放下分 歧， 真正开始一起努力解决这些问题。 ” Vicki 认为， 世界应当携手面对共同的 挑战。而中国，在构建人类命运共同体这件事情上，是 “动了真格” 的。

“We have a lot more global challenges than we have answers for: climate change, war, poverty, inflation, rising costs of living. It’s really time that we put our differences aside in an effort to actually start working and combating these issues. ” Vicki said. Vicki believes that the world should work together to face a common challenge. China, on the matter of building a community with a shared future for mankind, has "moved the real thing".

其实，国与国之间的交流， 归根到底还是人与人的交流。Vicki 在中国生活的 这几年中对这一点深有体会。她交到了一些中国朋友， 并从朋友们那里学到了很 多中国文化。 Vicki 的中国闺蜜周杨说， 和 Vicki 成为好朋友的这几年中， 两人 都从彼此身上学到了很多。即使双方的语言交流有时没那么顺畅， 她们也往往能 真正理解对方。
